Depending on the material, different finishes are available.
Every pearl holds a certified laboratory-grown diamond. From 1 carat, always flush-set. So that it sits flush and the pearl can be drilled through its centre, the pearl size follows the diamond: 12 mm for 1 carat, 13 mm up to 1.5 carats, 14 mm up to 2 carats.
The word carries your year, your guidance follows it. For the first pearl one of you chooses it for the other, from the second year on you choose together.
