Mandy and Thomas got married in Mexico, with a wedding conversation in the Bondingoo system and a wedding speech that, in their own words, "had nothing to do with the ceremonies we knew otherwise." Four years have passed since then, four renewals in four places around the world, four pearls added, and, as they say, a relationship that feels more deliberate than ever before.
How Mandy and Thomas experienced their wedding and the first four Bondingoo years, with the renewal held in a different place each year, organised through their own wedding planner.
"Our wedding speech and ceremony took place in Mexico, in a place that meant something to both of us." What grew out of the wedding conversation in the Bondingoo system was a ceremony that was entirely their own. After that, Bondingoo took over the accompaniment throughout the year.
"The four task blocks in the first year came exactly when we needed them." By the end of the year, both agreed: trust was the word that carried this first year. They celebrated their renewal in Brazil, organised through their own wedding planner.
"In the second year, a lot changed, a new job, a move. The tasks helped us not to lose each other." They chose their meaning for the second year themselves in the Bondingoo login: patience. They chose the matching pearl together, and celebrated their renewal in Hawaii.
"We wanted to dare something this year, together." The four task blocks revolved exactly around that: trying new things together. Their renewal in the Philippines was their farthest trip yet, again organised through their own wedding planner.
"Four years, four pearls, four places we'd otherwise never have reached." In Costa Rica they renewed their promise for the fourth time, looking back on four years they'd shaped deliberately, not simply let happen.
"We're not collecting pearls. We're collecting proof that we said yes again every year, in a new place in the world."
